Congrats I know you must be thrilled.I also know how devastated you must of been to be denied,that's where I"m at.My surgery was supposed to be yesterday but cap blue cross denied due to fact I take methadone for pain.I just got the letter to start the appeal and I need some pointers how to begin.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi.. I had Dr. S, too.  Did you talk to Patty about the denial? She is pretty good with knowing everything that the insurance companies need.  One thing that might be mentioned is that once you lose all your weight, you probably won't need pain killers anymore.  I don't know what to tell you, but definitely talk to Patty.  She should be able to help.  

Let me know when you are approved.  Will you be at Westfield or up in Palmerton when you have it?

Thanks , but Patty is not up on her game. She never even read the reports from my pcp and 1 week b4 surgery realized i need a pulmonary eval due to apnea so i had to go to leighton to see a dr and lucky he could see me that same week.she is slacking big time and its not fair to dr sawyna patients.She did not even say im sorry but treated me like I had a virus due to the methadone.I'm really not to happy with her but was always told don't burn your bridges.I just got my letter from cap bc so the appeal process starts.I was at westfield.

sorry you are having issues with her, she's usually on the ball.   I know she is swamped with work, but I'm not trying to make excuses for her.  Hopefully the appeal will go well.  I was at Westfield, also.  I loved it there!  Do you go to Dr. S's support groups on the 1st Tuesday? If so, look for me. I am usually there!
