APPROVED.....Finally!!!!!

After almost two years of denials and appeals and screw ups with the hospital billing staff and fighting with insurance and the last two weeks talking with the managers at IBX and UPENN...

I JUST GOT THE CALL. "You're insurance approved you"

It really is the bestv feeling I know many of you have shared and I am ecstatic.

Persistence pays off, be the speaky wheel, dont give up if you are trying!

I feel like weeping.

Congrats!!! Isn't that the best feeling? I waited about three months for approval, so I commend you for your persistance!

I know just from reading your posts on here that the insurance people have really put you thru the ringer - I am so happy for you and your approval!!

I thought I'd jump out of my skin the day they told me I was approved because just the day before they said they hadn't gotten anything - just depends on who you talk to.

Congratulations again, Kate - that is wonderful news - we'll be making room for you on the Loser's Bench real soon!

thanks! i feel joyous, excited and weepy all at once.

Put through the ringer is right. Just yesterday I was speaking to the manager
of the bariatric dept at PENN, and the manager at IBX...i guess they gor the point
that I met all qualifications and neede to move on it.

I am a medical practice manager and very savvy medical consumer...i feel
horrible for those that dont know the system..

Thank goddess for this board!
