What are you doing today to move that body??  What did you do this weekend?

I have a committee meeting tonight for the Relay for Life, but after that I am going to head right to the gym!  I need to get some serious cardio in (since I was a slug this weekend and didn't make it there even ONCE!)  I am going to push myself with the cardio and stick to the whimpy arm workout, but will push the leg work out a bit.  I can't wait for the OK from the surgeon to go back to normal lifting....but that's going to be another 6 weeks or so.

don't think I'm going to make it to the gym today... had to take my "lunch" break at 7:30 this morning because my daughter missed the bus AND I had to drop my car off to get the tire patched.  I may be able to get over there for a bit after work depending on if the car is done or not.  If I get there, I need to get on the treadmill and do some cardio.

I'm heading ot Curves right after work - hubby is home today and taking mom for a cat scan so it was the perfect day for me to go. I went Saturday morning and took 2 long walks with the dog, plus some shopping - scurried around some stores at the mall faster than I wanted but mom was with me and her portable oxygen unit wasn't working so I had to make it fast and quick - thank god I can do that now!!

Sunday I had a marathon event at the grocery store and walked the dog. The weather certainly didn't help any motivation in my area, either.

I did a lot of yard work on saturday, moving rocks (one at a time and yes I was careful!) I am a bit more limited right now until i see the OB - I should be walking but well haven't been. I am so darn tired when I get home at night!  Tonight I am going home to crash - I want to do some research on pre-natal workouts so I know exactly what I should/shouldn't be doing.

Didn't work out last night () even though I should have.  Just could NOT get it together and it was pouring rain and whatever.  NOT a good excuse.

Anyway, got up this morning and it was pouring again.  EEEW.

Did 10 mins on the Nordic Track (getting a little more coordinated), 10 mins "standing abs"/aerobics, 10 mins wii advanced step aerobics, 5 mins yoga stretching

I'm hoping the weather will break later and I can get out and do an outdoor walk.  If not, I have a new Pilates DVD I just got and will try that.

Wow! That's impressive given you just had your surgery!  Nice job!

I am just so darn sick of this rain!!    I had been doing 3 laps walk/run around my block (2 miles) and then .5 hr yoga in the morning before work and if I missed I did it at night.   Been running my *ss off lately as my Mom's in rehab and I have to fit that in, keep an eye to her house, pay her bills, etc. too now on weekends and after I get out of work at 7pm a couple nights a week.   I'm seeing the stress  affect neurological things again like it did last year when my sister died.  I must be using up all my B vites on stress so I've doubled everything up and I'm trying to combat it with increased exercise....I'm literally trying to "run" from my problems.

Tonight if I can't get to see Mom due to the weather, I'll run today's frustration off on the treadmill in the basement.   More of the same for the rest of the week....

Thanks for posting about gym rats.  Today was a longer day -- weight training and cardio.  Four different leg weight exercises (4 sets each) and then assisted dips and pull-ups (4 sets each).  Then after that 35 minutes at a working heart rate on the elliptical machine.   I try to lift weights two days a week and do cardio four days a week.

What are others' routines?

I am sick of the rain too -- especially as I walk to and from the gym in it.  But, hey, that's an extra 30 minutes of exercise! Yeah.

I can also really tell how necessary the exercise is to maintain muscle tone -- especially after losing 70 lbs of excess weight. Thankfully, its keeping my skin in fairly good shape.

I didn't make it to the gym today.. timing was just off.  The only exercise I did was walking to and from the repair shop.  It's only about 3 blocks away, but in this rain today it was crazy... and dangerous since I crossed the major intersection..

I have an appointment with the trainer tomorrow, so I know I will get a good 45 mins or so of strength training in with him.  I will probably go at lunch time to get in cardio since they like you to do cardio before strength when you are doing both.
