Friday Exercise
What's your plan for today and/or what did you do yesterday?
Last night I didn't get to the gym until 10:00 PM, but I made it and that is what's important. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the eliptical. I also did some VERY light (almost whimpy) arm work since I am not supposed to be lifting at all for a couple more months.
Tonight I want to step up my cardio a bit and do some leg work.
I plan on going back to karate next week on a limited participation basis.

All things counted, yesterday I endded up doing a little over 4 miles of walking (in 2 sessions), plus a 20-minute aerobic and strength workout on the Wii Fit.
This morning, I'm going to try that Nordic Track again and see if I can get used to it - kinda yucky to be walking. BUT... if the Nordic Track doesn't work, I'll go walk anyway.
This afternoon, doing some more active construction stuff in the bathroom we're remodeling (no lifting), and then plan a nice walk tonight, plus some Wii Tennis and Boxing with the kids.
I'm thinking that next week I might feel good enough to join the Health and Wellness Center and start a more "profound" workout, but am playing it by ear. I'd really like to get some pool work in, but have another week before that's OK.

Yesterday I was a slug. I didn't leave my house. I am back from my doctor's appointment and I am heading out the door for a run. I am hoping to do 5 miles this morning. This afternoon, if it is not raining, I will walk the track with my friends (Wellness Day for CCPS) - if it is raining I will do yoga, Zumba and maybe some Jazzersize. I think they were also offering DDR but I am not to coordinated so I might end up watching that instead.
Have you tried the inner/outer thigh machines at the gym? I swear I could sit there all night using those two machines. I hate it when someone asks me if they can get on - lol. Good luck going back to Karate - take it easy.

well, I am not sure if I am going to get to the gym today. I was thinking that I could go over to the Gold's that is near Siehara's dance school and do something productive during her class instead of just spending money or hanging out at a friend's house. We'll have to see how I feel later. I could probably get out some of my frustration from last night on the treadmill.
I snoozed five or six times in bed this morning and didn't get up until Mary came up and turned the hall light on and coaxed me out of bed. I obviously didn't make it to the gym.
I'm taking a half-day to go camping with my friends, and I'm already in camp mode. I'm wearing flannel, and haven't shaved for two days.
I submit myself to the annihilating judgement of my peers.

I pushed myself this morning & did go to Curves...I only went Tues & Thurs this week & really wanted to get my 3 days in! Tonight is my first night back to work since surgery--nervous!! Hope I can stay up working 7pm to 7am, lol...I'm so used to sleeping thru the nite since surgery! I'm sure I'll get added exercise while at work when running up/down the halls all night (I'm a nurse), lol...Have a great weekend Everyone!! Hugs,

Changed up the plan for the morning... did 5 mins on the Nordic (still not liking it), 10 mins of Wii "advanced" step aerobics, a 10-minute "standing abs" workout from Exercise On Demand (THANK YOU SUSAN for recommending that! What a hidden treasure!), and a 5 min Yoga "cool down." I feel like I had a good mix of aerobics and strength/stretching.
BUT... no weight change in 2 days... is that ok???
