something yummy!
I'm one week post-surg, so still on full liquids, although she's given me the ok to do a little more texture than usual because of the half-bypass thingie and not having as much of a restriction. Anyway...
I was in Costco today and found Kirkland brand "Martha Stewart" Turkey Soup in the refrigerated case). 2g sugar (none added) and 20g protein per cup. It's a thick soup with lots of carrots and turkey and crimini mushrooms and such. After I pureed it as is it was still a little thicker than I was comfy trying yet, so I thinned it a bit more with broth, BUT with those numbers, it's a definite for next week when i move to pureed food and I thought it might also be good for some others out there. It was delicious!

This recipe came from Keri. Take your portion of greek yogurt and blend it with a quarter box of dry mix until well blended, it should not be clumpy. Add a little more or less to taste. I mix a whole box with a 32 oz container. The only flavor I needed to doctor was the plain cheesecake flavor, I added a splenda to it. The pistachio and the banana cream were the best ones I've tried so far. These two flavors could give cannoli filling a run for the money.
