Wh am I not loosing weight
I don't understand I had surgery Oct 29 and I have lost a total of 105 lbs. the past 2 months has been horrible I have only lost 8 lbs in the 2 months. I started excersing I do to curves. I eat the same. I every now and again have some drinks with Tanya...she tries to keep me sane. What am I doing wrong. I am use to loosing like 20 -25 lbs a month. I amnot ready to stop loosing yet I want to be under 200 lbs and at 150...Whats wrong with me
WEll you are at the perfect time for a long stall unfortunately. You said that you didn't change what you are eating - you might actually be needing MORE calories! especially since you are exercising.
What is your menu for a typical day? How often are you exercising? Are you taking your vitamins? Are you getting in ALL of your protein and fluids?

You are now 6 mos. out and things start to slow down. You need to change your routine. Vary your foods. Watch out for carbs. Even the natural ones can keep you in a holding pattern. Never eat more than 1 protein bar in a day. Your safer with green leafy veggies than fruit. The best way to start up the loss is to keep your carbs for day in the same range as your fat intake for the day. But again watch what kind of carbs you eating. Its also not good to overdo the protein. Your daily protein should never exceed 20 grams of what the doctor set your goal to be. The further out you get, the slower the loss.
There's nothing wrong with you - please don't get down or discouraged - the scale will start moving again. We all hit stalls - it happens in the natural course of things. But it will break - but maybe not for another month - depends on what you do to shake it up. I know when I hit my first big one Shauna and Dennis suggested switching up my exercise and that worked for me - maybe add some walking to your Curves? But please don't worry - the scale will move again - and just remember how far you've come in this short time - 105 lbs lost is amazing!!

Trust me honey, we all complain when we hit stalls! It means you're normal. But you've gotten a lot of good suggestions from people out here who have been through it, so they all know what they're talking about. As we progress over the months we can eat more quanity and more of a variety, so things are bound to slow down, but that doesn't mean they have to stop. Talk to the nuts when you have your appt tomorrow - go over your eating plan with them. Do you keep food logs? I'm over a year out and still keep them - it helps me to see what I'm doing and if I'm getting enough proteins in, etc. Am I perfect? HA-HA-HA!! No Way! But little things like keeping a food journal or adding some extra walks will definitely help you on your journey.
Again, don't get discouraged - the scale will start moving again. keep us posted on how you're doing - we all need support and this is one of the best places to get it.

Quick thoughts:
1. Like Nan said, cut back on the prtein bars and get mor protein from lean meats like tuna, chicken, shrimp, etc. Also look at powdered protein drinks, the best of those (Matrix, AnyWhey, Body Fortress) are head and shoulders better than the best protein bars.
2. What do you do at Curves? 3x a week may not be anough if it's not that lengthy or intense of a workout
