Some one was telling me she still sleeps in a sports bra because it is too uncomfortable not too.  I have found that it hurts to walk around without a bra on...so there will be no bra burning parties in my near future LOL  Maybe I will try to double up on the bras during exercise.

For me... Honestly, I look for just about any reason not to wear one... a shirt with built in shelf bra or a top that just offers any support at all... I'm ALL about it.  I actually have a harder time now finding bras that are comfortable and fit well then I did before.. go figure.  I guess I should just be happy that I CAN go braless without anyone noticing.  That was certainly a WOW! after Plastics.

Hey Heather

I was just going to tell you to double up - that's what I did when I first went back to gym.  Now I wear a much better sports bra than the bra he gave me and it seems to be OK.  How long do we have to sleep with the girls not free.  yech - I hate it.

I have to be in a bra 24/7 until at least early July....after that, I don't know, but I will ask him when I see him in a few weeks.

I love the sports bra I got at Sports Authority...$50.00 but well worth it.  It is an UnderArmour and zips up the front...snug as a bug!  Maybe I will try wearing the surgical bra under the sports bra to see how that works for keeping the bouncing down.

Hey Heather!  Glad to read you are back into the gym.  Exercise this week has consisted of:
Sunday - running 5 miles (in the heat... yes, I was stupid)
Monday - Arc trainer and upper body at the gym in the air conditioning
Tuesday - Pilates class

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

I went back to working out. Last week Dr. Lam said I could go back to normal just listen to my body and stop when I am tired. Well I was't able to work out since August from all the surgeries I have had and now I am all cleared.

45 minutes tonight on the elipticle machine.  It was too hot to do an hour.  I can't justify turning on the air yet!

This is a great thread!

Today, i made it around our "long loop" (1.2 miles) without stopping, once in the morning and once tonight!  (that's 5000 steps, folks!)  And I did it briskly (20 minute pace for the 1.2 miles).  yay!

Tomorrow will be 1 week post-surgery!

OH Heather I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous!!!  I so want to go back to the gym so bad but I know I am not ready yet and Doc said to take my time.  I can barely get 20 minutes of slow walking in before I have to put my feet up and rest.  I know this is going to take time.  I am trying just a little further and  a little longer every day.

What is helping me is remembering how it was right after my Bypass in December of 07 - its like starting all over again.
