Back on the exercise wagon!

ok...so it took me 5 weeks to get back to the gym after plastics.  The first 3-4 weeks I was just too damned tired and sore, but my energy came back and I was out doing things, but not getting to the gym!  Last night I went back and let me tell you, I never noticed before, but boobs bounce when you are on the treadmill and it HURT ...even with a top knotch sports bra on!!  I stuck it out for 20 minutes (but had to constantly remind myself NOT to grab my boobs to keep them from bouncing) and did 15 minutes on the bike (no bouncing boobies there!).  I also did some leg work, and very light biceps.  I am not supposed to be lifting, but the arm work was so light that I almost felt silly doing it.  I was going to attempt triceps but my body and the scars on my arms told me right away NOT too do it.

So anyway, lets get the daily exercise post back up and running.  Reading what other people are doing motivates me to exercise, as I am sure it motivates others.

What is your plan for today or, what did you do yesterday??

Lets see - last night I moved about 1 yard of top soil, shoveling it into the wheel barrow - pushing it across the yard, dumping it in the flower bed raking it out and pushing it back to repeat. TOnight will be more of the same!! I was suprised - it is quite the work out especially when it is 98 degrees outside...

Yard work is a great work out!  Good for you...could you imagine doing that 3 years ago??

way to go HG.. get back in that gym!!!

Yesterday, I went to the gym and did my second spin class!!  After the class, I worked my abs, obliques, biceps and triceps.. gotta do what I can do fight the bat wings!!!

Today, I meet with the trainer for the first "official" time--meaning, I am paying $$ for this one!!   He will weigh and measure me and then start me down the road!  I'll let you know tomorrow how much he killed me!

Good for you HG - bet lots of gym rats were watching the bouncing boobies too!! Take care of those babies - they're still newborns.

I joined Curves a few weeks ago and have been hitting there 3 times a week, plus walking at night with the dog. I brought my gym bag in today so I can change and go right from work,

Haven't been back on my bike and its missing me very much, so I will do that tomorrow night - just seems like evenings have been busy lately.

I do enjoy Curves - lots of old ladies like me at the one I go to - I'm still only going 2 rounds on the equipment, working my way up to 3, but I'm getting a good, sweaty work-out out of it.

I am hoping to hop on the exercise wagon soon. I am hoping to get the OK from my OB on monday. Johnny has fixed up a section of the basement for me. We have a weight bench, a gazelle, and an ab lounger. He hooked up a TV and DVD player for me so I can try some exercise tapes too. I was so happy. With working full time and having 4 kids, the gym is just out of the question for me,  I will have to make time  at home to get down there each day.

I also have a Wii fit still in the box I hope to break out next week.

So I hope the exercise thread can be a daily thing. It will help me stay motivated to exercise each day. I have 20 lbs to lose to get back to my former self. Some of it will come off on it's own as I am still dropping some of the baby weight but I know I have to get my butt in gear to lose the rest.

Heather, glad you got back, and you made me chuckle. Cause I can just imagine trying to avoid holding the breast still, and you are you the treadmill. I've done that before.....LOL

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Spin Class for me last night!   I'm addicted to spinning!  I go 3-4 times a week.  Although, today is going to be rough, I can barely walk due to the trainer on Sunday.. he KILLED me with my leg workout and I'm OH so sore.  BTW, I had a breast reduction, it'll be 2 years tomorrow actually and I still have to wear 2 sports bras .. and sometimes I think a 3rd might do me some good too.. so you're not alone :)  Tonight it's chest/back/shoulder and.... SPIN CLASS!  wooo!
