Which is best prior to exercise?
I dont do either. I try to get to the gym first thing in the morning, but if that is not possible - then put at least an hour or two in betweeen any intake and your working out. Immediately AFTER you are done you should be consuming a big shot of protein then within an hour of that eat your meal or snack.
I have had several trainers tell me this and have had lots of personal success with it.
