I Dumped..

Hallalujha!! We went out for ice cream today and they have this fat free/sugar free vanilla/chocolate swirl that we go for once in a while. Anyway it was my husband and both my kids and we all ordered the same thing so lo and behold my ice cream must have been mixed up with my husband's because I DUMPED on it after only having half of the small ice cream cup. I never thought I would ever dump on sugar and I know I am CRAZY for saying this but you all know I have been struggling to detox from Sugar and have not touched it for 2 weeks and today it was like a sign from god that said "You want to stay away from SUGAR??? Here you go!!" I will never ever touch any kind of sugar because I not only threw up all the ice cream right there in front of like 20 kids but also all of my dinner. Just thought I share the good news. LOL. Susan you were right there telling me that it serves me right to go out even for Sugar Free Ice Cream. Thank You all so much for being there. I have finally got rid of my sugar devil.

Even SF Ice Cream makes me dump. I get Horribly sick from it. I mean, throwing up, sweating, severe stomach cramping, and I end up crying and laying in bed in the fetal position. It's miserable. I am lactose intolerant. So until they can make sugar free-lactose free ice cream that doesn't taste like cardboard, I avoid it! I don't even want to look at it, because it looks so good but I KNOW the damage it does......

Sorry you dumped in public. I have been there and done that. It stinks! Good luck with avoiding sugar. It can be tough, but not bad after you get over the hump!

Have you thought about making your own with unsweetened lactose free soy milk?

I knew there was a reason that I was afraid to try to no sugar added ice cream in my freezer.  I won't even think about trying ice cream WITH sugar.  I just bought my second tub of NSA ice cream, but my daughter and the babysitter ate the entire first tub.  I am just afraid.  I have not dumped on anything yet, and I really don't want to experience it.  I'm sure I'm much better off not even bothering to try it.

So sorry you had to dump in public, but glad you faced your demons

that is why I am afraid toget anything when I go out that is SF, I went to Rita's and they geave me regular water ice when I asked for SF, so I will never go back there

I almost went to Ritas tonight for a SF treat, but decided against it. I live close to one, so when I try one, I might want to go home to try it just in case. That's if I ever go to try it. I keep saying I am going to, but then change my mind and drive pass it.

Maybe that's a sign.....LOL

I am happy you dumped and even happier that it happened in public.  I am surprized how short of a time it took between eating the ice cream and reacting to it.  Either way - there you go - YOU DO DUMP, and you DO have a sugar issue.

Now, continue to use your tool and glad you've been "re-set".

I, being less than a year out, still have no desire to 'test' my ability/in-ability to eat sugar....the though of dumping is not plesant (read - 'scares me')

Dumping is never pleasant - especially in public! But now you can be rid of the sugar demons - fortunately I know I dump so I'm not even tempted - now if they could only come up with a way to dump from carbs!! Hope you're feeling better - dumping episodes always leave me feeling totally washed out the next day.
