Tuesday Roll Call
Thank goodness you put the day in the title because I am already confused as to what day of the week it is.
This morning I am sore again from another spin class, but I thin****pt up better wit this one. I also liked the instructor a bit better. She was energetic, friendly and fun.. also came over to me afterward to see how I did and showed me a few moves and fixed my seat even better than it was.
Today has me going to parent teacher conferences in the morning. I'm not sure what to expect since I talk to her teachers about her behavior on a pretty regular basis. The grades were never much of a problem, but they did slip a bit this year.
After conferences, I have to work for 4 hours. Then, it's off to the gym to meet with the trainer. He's going to weigh and measure me and work with me on some other machines so I can get used to different work outs.
Right from the gym, I'm taking Siehara to the new psychologist that I met with last week. Hopefully, she will be comfortable with her and will talk to her. We haven't found the "right" one, yet, and we are both getting frustrated. Siehara thinks nobody can help her. I am just waiting for the RIGHT one to help her. After that appointment, it's home to relax.

hey yal this am took jason to work so we could drop off the car at pep boys for inspection.
I am catching up on the computer, then will get ready for my class. After that hopefull his car will be done so I can leave class take him to pick it up and then come home for a rest before work.
The work drama has calmed a bit but I cannot move to my new position any faster.
Working my way out of my funk but kind of hum drum,.

Uhmm....ok...so I feel a bit weird saying this...for lots of reasons....but I just got in from the bar.
Seriously.
Anyway - it was a busy busy night for us. A normal 24 hour period generally entails the ER registering approximately 210 patients. Yesterday was 285. And from midnight last night until 7am this morning there were 90 patients registered. WAY more than expected.
So apparantly, there is this restaurant about 2 mins from work (It's called the brass rail it's on Lehigh Street for anyone familiar with the area) that serves alcohol in the morning too. For us night people, it's a rare treat to be able to go out to "dinner" and "have a few drinks" directly after work without going to somone's house. So, we decided we would go out just like "normal" people do after a shift and decompress.
So...anyway...went out to dinner....had ONE drink (goodness knows if I wanted to drive home that's as far as I could push that idea) came home...put away the laundry FINALLY....will call hubby in a few mins and go to bed.
There is a slight chance I will either be told to stay home for the whole night tonight or be sent home early. I put myself on the "furlough" list as it is my OT week. But it's never definite and I never count on it. If I do...I will do some detail cleaning so the house looks nice and pretty for hubby later in the week. And probably watch some tv/movies. I saw the tail end of an infomercial that I actually WANT to watch the whole thing of, how ridiculous does that sound? Apparantly the magic bullet now has a big version...bullet something or other.....I can't remember the name of it. It looks interesting....
Back to work tonight for the last night at LVH until Saturday.
Have a great day!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Good morning everyone! Another gorgeous day out there. Got up at a normal time this morning for the first time since surgery (felt good!), hydrated myself and went for a nice walk. Did the 1-1/4 mile loop without stopping - also for the first time since surgery - and did it in about 20 mins, so a good pace. Came back, showered and had a lovely protein shake breakfast. Now I'm tired and will rest for a bit.
My plan for the day is to tackle my back porch clutter a bit (being careful not to lift too much, of course) and hopefully a run to Costco and EMS (gotta get a pedometer). That will be my first solo driving outing since surg.
I'm also waiting for Fox Chase to call me back today with appointment schedules.
i was happy to update my weight ticker again this morning, too! Yay!
Enjoy the weather! Get that natural vitamin D!

Hey Guys!
I was soooo ready (psychologically) for surgery today. Was in the pre op room, IV's in place, shot of heparin given, etc. and then the surgeon comes in and finds I'm on prednisone taper so has to cancel the surgery. I am glad to err on the side of caution and will be rescheduled for a couple weeks from now, but so freakin annoyed that the nurse at his office NEVER TOLD HIM that I was on the prednisone, and assured me that it was fine and would not at all interfere with surgery.
SOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!! I've done the liquid diet for a week, but I'm back to eating- trying to keep it under control and not fall into my "last supper" mentality again.....
