Any Pre-Ops for Pittsburgh Bariatrics looking for Fall Surgery

Hi there - I am a Pre-Op RNY through Pittsburgh Bariatrics at UPMC St. Margaret's and I was looking to see if there was anyone else that was working with their office to schedule a fall surgery with either Dr Means or Dr Quinlan.  I thought we could check in once a week and talk about progress, meetings, appointments, etc.  I currently attend the Dietician Group the first Monday each month.  Checking to see if there was anyone out there.

im actually being seen at that office, and im currently waiting on my 4th out of 6th class. Im hoping to have surgery sometime over the summer (hopefully July) being that my last class is scheduled for June 23rd i think.
So let me know if i can be of any help...

What class do you go to?  My next one is May 4th and I graduate July 6th!  But, I was told that I wouldn't be scheduled until September/October due to thier schedule .  So, from the informational session to my estimated surgery will be 9+ months!  It's auch a long wait - I haven't even done any of my pre-op requirements yet since they're only good for 6 months.  I plan on doing them in late May/early June.  Are you going with Dr Means or Dr Quinlan?

I'm Pre-op at Hope Bariatrics in Sewickley...but if you'd still like to check in once a week and do the support thing... I'm up for it. Most of the bariatrics groups around here work pretty much the same.

I do know that there are a couple girls on here that are going to St. Margarets. Hopefully they'll link up with you.

Either way... Just thought I'd say HI....

Nice to meet you!  Are you on your 6 month diet phase right now?  Did they give you a date yet?  I've just really started to embrace the no carbonation/no-low sugar lifestyle.  I haven't had a pop in 11 days!  It doesn't seem like much, but I was a huge Coke fan!  Good luck on your WLS journey - hope to keep in touch with you!

I just got done with month 4 of my 6 month diet phase! The last 4 months have gone by SO quickly. But I've learned a lot about myself in the process.

I don't have a date yet, but as long as everything goes smoothly we're looking at the end of July/beginning of August. *fingers crossed*

I know how hard the no pop thing is.... I LOVE diet Pepsi! but I've been doing really well at stopping it.... SO HARD THOUGH!
