Strange question about stitches

hey everyone just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The stitches from inside of me that are suppposed to dissolve, aren't. The are working themselves up to the surface. No soreness or redness or any other type of problem. and I have had regular stitches do this before. You know if a small peice is missed and it works its way out. Not a big deal. Just curious, if any of you have had the inside stitches do this. It just strikes me as kind of weird. I did call the doc and they said as long as it isn't causing a problem to just let it do it's thing. and if the ends start to catch or cause a problem just to snip them off close to the skin. I had that happen too - thought that it was a scab but it didn't go away so that part wouldn't heal right - I finally clipped it real close to the skin with toe nail clippers (I slathered them in alcohol first just in case) and it healed up perfectly.

How are you feeling otherwise? How are the ulcers doing?

hey Liz the ulcer is getting better. I am actually able to eat little bits at a time. and I am getting alot more fluids in. My protein is still no where near where it should be but each little bit helps. I am getting in my vitamins and supplements again, and my doc changed some of my meds to liquids so that helps. Still having the stomach pain some but not anywhere close to what I had before. All and all I am on the right track. Belinda

I had Lap Band and I too had that happen...I thought it was a scab...But when I pulled it, it stayed..and hurt..It is white...It was alittle sore for awhile...I am seeing the doctor today for my first fill and will let him look at it...I was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them too..."Lucky"

Yep, they are normal.  I have them coming out too from my plastics.  I love to pull them out with tweezers as long as they aren't still holding real tight. 

I had one in my belly button that was sticking out and a little sore and irritated the hell out of me.  I went in and he pulled it out.... hurt when he pulled it, but then it was fine afterward.
