Can anyone please clarify for me how they make "ice cream" ? Are you simply freezing ff/sf pudding that you've added protein to, or just freezing a shake? I tried freezing a shake I made and was very unhappy with the treat I thought I was going to enjoy.

Chris - you need an ice cream machine - they are inexpensive, like $20 - $40 at Walmart - if you go to

theworldaccordingtoeggface.com she has a ton of recipes for them!

I bought an ice cream machine at Target yesterday for $30 and made a shake like I normally would then put it in the ice cream machine. OMG, it was so good and had 2 scoops of protein where my normal shake only has one. Mega protein and oh so good. I got the recipe from Michelle's website. the one Liz mentioned.

I second going to eggface's site.  All of her recipes make me want to drool, not just the ice cream.  She uses a neat machine that doesn't require salt.  It shows up on the side of her blog.  It's approx. $45-50 if I remember correctly.

I've definitely saved her website as a favorite for post-op recipes.  She is so thorough.  All the ingrediants, prep info and pictures.

I appreciate your input, it's nice to have second opinions on someone else's recipes. I get paid this week ,so I'll be shopping this weekend.

I have the same one she does - I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond - go to their website and sign up for the mailers, I get a 20% off coupon at least a few times a month - you can use it on that! That's what I did.

:) LOVE to save! lol

Thanks Liz, I'll check it out. Those ice cream recipes looked like they be to die for. I can't wait to try them. Now they wouldn't happen to count as slider foods would they ? :)
