Barix support group meeting May 2

I just wanted to let you all know that my hubbie will be joining us for the Sat group meeting to discuss the importance of being a good support person. I know you will all love him as I do and he will answer any questions you may have. So I encourage you to bring you support person with you, I know we will have a great day!

I am planning on attending debating an appt. i have at noon. If i can change that I will be there. My support system wont havent gottent that far wtih them lol

Excellent idea Robin.  Two things; I think more support people should be showing up to support meetings in general, and two, that support meetings should offer more support for support people.  No one understands a weight loss patient like another weight loss patient, but on average, we don't tend to live with one another.
At the PA Pilgrimage, we did have a support person's support meeting that went extremely well with no topic barred from discussion.  They moved between topics covering moodiness to sex issues to dymorphia concerns as well as many others.  If we have enough attendees, we can split off into an individual "support persons" group and that would be a WONDERFUL thing!
I will be recovering from hernia surgery on Saturday but hope to be in good in enough shape to be at the meeting all day.  I will be looking for a co-coordinator in you, Robin, throughout the First Saturday day as the topic of the day will be "support-who what where when and why?".  Thanks for another excellent topic Robin!

Wow Robin you brought back one of my most important memories with George I mean when I was getting ready to do my surgery.  He came to some of the meetings with me and I can't begin to tell everyone how much that meant to me. It is so important to have the "significant other" to be suportive. Thats a wonderful idea thank you Ronin as aways.

I will def. be there i have an appt but wil be just a tad bit late
