New Boobies for Me!
It's official I got my date and approval from insurance so in I go again this time for plastics on June 5th. I'm having a reduction and that will get me a hospital overnight and a visiting nurse for the first week. Amazing that for bariatric surgery i didn't get the visiting nurse. Kind of scares me that this surgery is a bigger deal than I'm imagining.
I did get denied for my panniculectomy since I did not have 6 months of documented medical treatment. I appealed it and was told that if I can get 6 months of medical documentation I will meet the medically nessecary criteria. So i guess that means lots of visits to my doc over the next 6 months
Im very excited, yet nervous all over again.

Congrats! So, uh, any possibility you could have them ship me what they take off of you so I can make some sort of boob like apparatus as opposed to the deflated water balloons I am currently sporting? LOL
The visiting nurse is probably because I'm guessing you might have drains and what not that will need to be cared for. Which if you had lap (I forget...) you didn't have after bariatric surgery.
Have fun at the doctors, I guess!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Pam, I would gladly donate you some boobies, I'll talk to Dr. Marchant and see what he can do
My insurance is Keystone East but apparently my company has the caddilac of plans (i'm very fortunate, I know)
For anyone wondering why I'm doing this prior to reaching goal and being "stable" my PS says he prefers his WLS to have 15-20 lbs of extra tissue to work with when he recunstructs/contours the breast. He says that it's not likely I'm going to loose a drastic amount of weight and that even if I were to loose 30-40 lbs it will not make a difference.
As for my stomach, I'm over it. It will happen when it's supposed to and I'll have nice tight abs hiding under the skin when the time comes.
