OK, I'm gonna do the traditional 8 month plateu whine.

yes, I've been coming here and reading the board for a year. everytime I've had a stall I've never complained. I weigh myself everyday, cuz like Norm says, I MUST keep myself in check. But I have never obsessed over it. (I swear this is the truth) So I do know that with only 25lbs left to go and 8 months out it's VERY normal to hit a stall and/or plateau. It's been well over a month (more like 6 weeks) and I bounce up and down 3 lbs (187-184) I exercise 5X per week doing a VERY intense bootcamp but I probablly eat more sugar/carbs than I should. but still I'm buring way more calories than I take in. I'm so/so with protien (started doing 2 click shakes p/day 30G protein)

So those are my stats. And yes I'm firming up and getting smaller from all the exercize and yes I know muscle is heavier than fat. But I know there is no way at 8 months out I am done losing weight.

Can anyone clue me in on how long their plateau lasted?

Thanks guys.

I think you may just need a little tweak in your eating..

If you're busting out the exercise that much, you may need to UP your calories a little bit, but with lean proteins or supplements

Mind the sugar and carbs too.

Not that you want to hear this, but I have been on a stall for a year, but I will also be 3 years out in early September.  HOWEVER, I have continued to get smaller...dropping inches and sizes...so I know the scale WILL move again.  I think Norm is on target with his suggestion of increasing your calories a bit with the protein because of all the exercising you are doing.  Your body may be "rebelling"....afraid to let any more of the weight go because it thinks it is going to starve (silly bodies LOL).  Carbs are evil, so really try to watch them.  I struggle with them on a daily basis.

Good luck!  You are doing great.

Listen to Norm.  One thing I've learned from reading the boards is he knows the whole "mix it up/shake it up" deal with the food and exercise.

That being said.  I've hit the same 8 month stall.  ;0)  So I'm remembering his advice from the past and going deeper into planning my eating/exercise daily.  And I know it will work.  I've got the faith.

regards, keri
