WOW - The Pink Gown

So at 14 months out I don't get many WOW moments anymore, and that's okay - I've gotten my fair share and then some. And if anyone read my one post yesterday you saw that I had a 'smack-down' wow the other night - friend says I'm nothing but skin & bones now (ha-ha - that's a joke!) and then proceeds to tell me how wrinkled I am now - baby, she should see me without clothes on! Anyway....

...Yesterday I had my annual mammogram (sorry guys) - the tech took me back to the room to change and looked at me and said 'put on a pink gown' - okay - no problem - didn't think anything of it.  I went in for my mammo and that went extremely well - the poor girls lost a lot of their 'fullness' so it was easier to read the diagnostics now. The tech and I got to talking about my WLS and she was thrilled for me and said 'You know, the pink gowns are the small ones - I bet you had to wear the blue ones before' - and she was right - I used to have to wear BIG BLUE all the time - this time I got into a 'normal' size pink gown with room to spare!!

So on top of my mammo being A-OK and not having to go back for another year, which was a huge WOW in itself, I am also happy to report that I can now fit into the smaller gowns at these places and not be showing skin and fluff and everything else!

And here I thought you had bought a pink ball gown for some sort of gala affair!  LOL

That's GREAT, Kathy!  What a moment!

Kathy - congrats on this wow !   It's an unusual one too - how nice of the tech to mention it.
Have a great day.

The Pink Gowns rule  and I bet you had to wrap it around you like a bathrobe too - huh?  Our Wow moments arent as obvious as they were over the past year - but they are stil there in so many ways.  Congratulations on the positive result of the Mammo!

What an awesome moment Kathy! I bet you rocked that pink gown too! ...I think after the first 12 months which I just hit the WOW moments will become more personal ones as opposed to the OMG look you moments...

You have done amazing and you earned that pink gown!
