Surgery next week - great support group this week!

My surgery (roux-en-y lap with Dr. Pupkova at Barix) is scheduled for next Wednesday, the 22nd.  I'm both nervous and tremendously excited.  I keep trying to envision what post-surgical life will really be like!  

I want to publicly thank everyone at Tuesday night's Barix pre-surg support group meeting.  What a great and warm group of people.  I came away from the meeting feeling energized, reassured, and even more excited about getting on with the "next phase" of my life.  Thank you all!

I'm looking forward to getting to know folks on the board and in person in the coming months as we continue this journey together.

Thanks to all of you who have replied to my post!  What a great group this is. 

I hope to reach out to many of you in the coming weeks and take you up on the offers of walks and/or support.  I know I'll have a lot of questions as time progresses.
