Run down, break down or just down

ALright so here is my deal. I don't feel like myself the last week. Don't get me wrong - I put up a great front. But it is wearing on me - I am tired, I am out of sorts. My hubby works second shift and all I want to do is see him, I sleep terrible (luckily blood work is all good though!) I have been moody and easily set off. Fortunately we ar eone of the companies that are swaped but I want a break! I think that I need a vacation but don't get time off until may. One of my co-workers is a jerk and the other refuses to believe that I am his superior. I bust my ass 10 hours a day and some people do appreciate it (the ones that matter actually) but the ones that I am supervising couldn't care less and manangement doesn't do anything about it - they want us to work it out amongst ourselves.

Ugh... so that is my ramble - thanks for listening. Maybe I need a shrink...

did you listen to WMMR this morning...Preston and Steve?  They talked all about what people have done to other peoples food when they don't like them....just saying...a little spit (or as they suggested "ass hair")  in the cake you bake for your asshole coworkers might make you smile

Seriously though....it sounds like you need a break.  What about a weekend away just the two of you...like a local bed and breakfast?

I am a firm believer in shrinks....I seriously believe that EVERYONE should have one, especially the shrinks :)

I hope you feel more like yourself soon.

Thanks HG!! I think that Mark might enjoy the ass hair cake! lol soooooooooo tempting! Maybe a chocolate ass hair cake with exlax frosting would make me feel better! lol

I love the idea of a weekend away - I am going to have to suggest that to him.

As for the shrink - I am going to research tonight...

Off the top of my head, some little things that may help:

1. If Chris works close to you, drive to work and have "lunch" with him every once and a while

2. Vindicitvely punish the coworker under you with an unending stream of work, real or imagined. Just abuse the **** out of him until he cracks. If you're going to be moody, just unleash on him like a rabid dog. He'll get the message.

3. Exercise will help you sleep. I'm sure you know that, but it's the God's honest truth. I sleep like a rock 98% of the time

I don't know if you need a shrink or not, but hopefully those little steps will bring a little calm into your stormy life

Thanks Norm

1) He works 45 min from home and takes his lunch before I leave work - I work 6:30-4 he works 12-9

2) That has been part of my evil plan but it is going unsuccessfully - unfortunately I have no power to enforce anything!

3) I know - I need to be better about it - the hardest part from me (I know you are going to tell me I am whining and making excuses in the most friendly way possible - and I might be) but I get home from work about 6, when I exercise then I can't get to sleep until after 11 and then I am back up at 4:30am and worthless the next day, the inverse if I get up earlier 3:30am god help me I am still exhausted all day! I only get 1/2 hour for lunch and in the warmer weather we do walk.

Thanks Norm - friends always help

Blame it on the stinking weather - I'm blaming everything on that these days! Its been so cold and gloomy and everybody is waiting for spring.

Plus aren't you trying to get pregnant? Are you taking anything to help that along? sometimes hormones just suck!!

Hope you feel better soon - and rant on - it does help.

Kathy - Thanks, The weather hasn't really been getting to me - spring is my favorite time of the year and well the rain makes my flowers grow! I actually love a good rainy windy day! I am wierd I know! lol

I am trying to get pregnant - we are going au-nautural for now - no hormones, not to say that my body isn't going into overdrive with them on its own  -but no supplemental hormones.

Thanks for listening to the rant - knowing that I have friends that receive it and take the time to offer their advice is so comforting!

well try this... during the week do Yoga at home... I have an awesome yoga for weight loss and it is very relaxing and shows the moves in 3 or 4 different ways of doing the same pose... that way you are getting a workout... but not getting yourself all ramped up... and then do some cardio on the weekend with the hubs...

Now for the jerk offs at work... time to break out the x-lax brownies... mahahaha... you need a real brownie mix... the nasty sugary ones... 3 boxes of the chocolate chews of x-lax... dice them up... add to the mix... bake like normal... and make sure you frost them... and watch with glee when they run to the bathroom... it is just enough to make them feel kind of bad... now if you want to stay in the bathroom all day... 8 boxes of the stuff what ya need lol...

You might need a shrink... or just someone to vent to... so you know we are here for ya... hang in there hun... I think part of it is the weather... if it makes you feel any better... Jeremy found a mouse in the kitchen and it scared the crap out of him... I have such a manly man... scared of mice, bees, and wasps... and yes I am rolling my eyes lol...

THanks Shannon - if you could send me the name of that tape i would appreciate it - I'll order it online.

AS for jackass as we "affectionately" call him I think that 16 boxes are necessary - maybe all that "movement" will get his head out of his ass! lol

THanks - having people like I do here really does make everything more bearable.

Eww @ the mouse!! I had to have Chris "rescue" me from this hairy million legger thingy on sunday - it was running across the wall about 1000 miles an hour.

THanks again!

PS - if I saw a mouse I would be sitting ON the counter until Chris or the cats got it!

Aww honey. I am sure there is more going on than you even realize. It would be nice if they tiredness and moodiness were for  a good reason, but I know you have been kind of dissppointed there so far. It will come, no worries about that.

I think that the weather has a great deal to do with our mood. Is there any kind of subconscious memory for this time of year? Did anyting bad or traumatic happen around this time in your life? I have a friend who always gets very down and depressed in Feb and every year she says " god i wonder what is wrong with me" I gently remind her that she always gets like this in Feb. Because of ..... that happened.

I am glad to hear your blood work is good. I know B-12 deficiency can cause depression and a sense of doom and anxiety.

I really do think you need a break and if you cannot take a vacation until later do what has been suggested so far. Take a weekend away. You do so much for so many, us included you open your home to us, cook for us. Take a break, do for yourself. Be selfish.

I also do agree in therapy but of course I would.
Hugs to you
