You're limited in your pixel count and kilobyte size as well.

Do you have MS Paint or Photshop?

You can resize things in there...

Also, uploading your pic to photobucket.com is free if you don't have a program to do it. When you edit pic, there is a sizing option that lets you pick avatar. that size is just right for putting it on here.

I was gonna suggest photobucket.com as well!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
