OT- No baby this week! (windy post)

This has nothing to do with WLS or recipes or anything OH related.

I mentioned earlier in the week that as I will be 37 weeks on saturday, they are going to induce me due to pre-eclampsia. So I was all excited planning for the kids to spend the night at moms, re-packing my bags from my last hospital stay, and making sure all of Jantzen's things are ready.

But today My OB called, we talked and we are not inducing now. I was pissy at first since I had it set in my brain I would be holding him in a few days. But my labs are looking good and it makes no sense to make him join the world yet if my health is OK.

So we will continue to have my labs done. (more pee in my fridge! ugh!) And keep an eye on my levels and we will ONLY induce if it lookslike my health is at risk.

The baby baking as long as he can is the best. Apparently boys' lung mature slower than girls so the longwer he is in, the less chance he will have lung issues and need NICU.

I guess even in the womb, girls are more mature than boys..........go figure! LOL. Anyways, since Pam had been updating on my hospital drama, and all, I thought I would update that I will be preggo, huge, and miserable for a little while more! LOL

Sigh....... I know you are frustrated.  None of my kids made it to full term.  My daughter came at 38 weeks, my son came at 36 weeks (I had been sick and coughing put me into premature labor with him) and my last son came at 39 weeks.  I was afraid he was never going to come LOL. 

Just use this time to get your house ready.  To get that sleep you wont be getting once he comes home.  Make sure you whine enough that they pamper the hell out of you!  If you ever need to talk I'm only a computer or a cell phone call away.

I know you are frustrated Jodi, but hang in there.  You know it is better for you and Jantzen if he "bakes" a little longer.  That's why women get pregnant and not men.. patience... we can deal with it.  Imagine if men were the ones carrying the babies... LOL!!!

I only have one, but she was a week later than my due date. Stubborn then and stubborn now.. UGH

Anyway, like others have said.. nest now, rest now, and whine now!

Best of luck!   Although I'm sure you are anxious to have him after all this, that is great news that he can "bake" a little longer :)

Jodi, I seemed to have missed all the hospital drama you were going through, but just wanted to let you know I've been thinking of you and looking forward to hearing once Jantzen is born :)  I'm glad to hear he is doing ok and that your labs are looking good.  And maybe he and I will wind up having the same birthday ;)  (April 21st ;))

I totally understand how you feel but also get why the doctors are doing this.
