Hi...my favorite protein powder is Unjury...use the unflavored in everything...mixes easily, no taste & doesn't clump. I also love Unjury chocolate & the vanilla is ok too...I usually add those SF DaVinci or Torani syrups to the vanilla to switch it up. I bought the Nectar proteins & found them too sweet.

Well now - you've gotten really great advice already!

I don't see a problem with the snack at night.  Except that i agree with LIz - add some yogurt or protein powder or something along those lines to up the protein.  That, along with liquids, are your goals right now.

Keep it up - and keep measuring!

I've noticed that I keep getting conflicting advice from everyone.  My Nut told me one thing.... My surgeon another.  Even her assistant tells me different things.  He even told me not to go by the advice I receive at this board.  Well I should have pointed out to him that my surgeon is a member of this board LOL.

The people here have NEVER steered me wrong!  I would take their advice before anyone elses LOL.

Just remember before you eat ask yourself.... is this real hunger.....or head hunger?  I still have issues with head hunger and I probably always will.   I've made myself throw up on one too many occasions eating when its been head hunger.

After thinking about it a little more I feel compelled to add....

baked beans, really?

Have you found a no sugar added baked bean - because I haven't.  And most store brands are LOADED with sugar.  Definately a no no post op - and this early out - should be focused on protein first.

The turkey hot dogs are lower in fat, granted, but still not exactly a great idea this early out.  The skins can be hard to digest.

I know you've gotten a lot of advice from people who have had surgery at other places and with different surgeons than where you had yours done.  Do you have nutritional guides? I'd stick with dense protein first and measure that and see how you do.

Just my two cents.

Your two cents is always welcomed!!
