Dr. G is my surgeon, but I had RNY.  I've met a lot of his DS patients at our monthly support group and most seem very happy with their results.

I am coming to the upcoming support group on the 21st.  I am hoping to meet some new friends there as well.

Thanks,

I usually sit front row center (no idea why) so I shouldn't be hard to find.  Paula or Ann should be able to point me out to you.

Hello, I had my DS with Dr. B at Abington and am doing great.  I did see Dr. G while I was in the hospital though and he seemed nice enough, but he didn't do my actual surgery.  I think he may be new to the DS, but don't quote me on that.  Previously I believe Dr. B did all the DS's at thier practice.   So far I haven't seen anyone over on the DS board that has had Dr. G either.  I would discuss that with him and see what his experience is with it.  Even if he is new to it, everyone has to start somwhere and if he has a good track record with the RNY and other surgeries, I am sure he will be fine wit the DS.  Good Luck with your journey and stop by the DS board if you ever need any more DS specific help!

He's very easy on the eyes and his lovely accent makes him a delight to listen to.  He has trained extensively on DS and from what I understand has been doing them for about a year.  This procedure was a consideration for me because of my diabetes, but after a lengthy discussion we decided RNY was the way for me to go, especially since my insurance probably wouldn't have covered it.
