I guess so you can really see their body shape.
men if they have on a dress shirt is very loose & you can't see their shape. and it is acceptable for men to take pctures with their shirts off. for the same reason that men go swimming without a shirt on and women keep their chest covered (most times)

I dunno, I guess for the same reason some people (female) find it ok to walk around at 400+ pounds in a string bikini. I'm all for "confidence at any weight" and loving yourself for who you are on the inside and not on the outside...but c'mon now. Some things are just wrong.
On the same tangent - it should be illegal for anything with spandex to be made in above a size 20. I can say that because I was that. And there was NO NEED for me to be wearing skin tight spandex, two pieces, or other articles of clothing similar in appearance in general public or even in my own house for that matter.
