GOT MY DATES!!!
I GOT MY DATES TODAY AND I AM GOING TO HAVE PATS ON MAY 21ST AND SURGERY IS JUNE 3, 2009!!! I AM EXCITED BUT NERVOUS TOO!!I was wondering when you find out if you have a co-pay or not? I know I got my surgery date today and Barix said I would get my paperwork in the mail all about the surgery dates and stuff. Is that when I will find out if I have a co-pay to bring with me to PATS??
Hang in there, Dee!
Any co pays you have for PATs would be your regular copay amount...minimal $25 or whatever. During PATs you will go over any financial responsibility you might have that your insurance doesn't cover and what not.
Good luck and congrats!!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Ooh well some ppl say that they had to pay like a couple thousand for a co-pay. That is why I was wondering. But yeah I have a 25 dollar co-pay then if it is just for a specailist appt. But I thought you had to pay for what the insurance company may not pay for also on that day??? I am praying that my dedcutible was met so it will be 100% covered. Then I will not worry about it but when I called them they said I had to pay 20% and they pay 80% unless the 1,000 dollar deductible is met. Well guess what ladies LOL...I looked at my paperwork I get in the mail everytime I have a dr visit or whatever that the insurance company sends me and my deductible is at 1,001 dollars!!!!! LOL. If I am thinking that is what they are talking about then my surgery will be covered a 100% and I will not have to worry about paying anything towards the surgery. That would be great. PATS= Pre-Admission Testings!!!
