Thanks for the great green advice
Thanks everyone ! I went back to full liquids yesterday and the sick feeling subsided. Now that I have read the posts and really thought about it, I haven't been measuring and I am sure that I have been eating maybe a little faster than I should. I have been "eyeballing" about half a cup, and then it takes me about twenty minutes to eat it. I think I will try being much more specific about amount and time. And try cutting out some of the starchy foods too. I don't think my pouch was ready for potatoe with cheese. This is such a learning experience, and I do want to move on to food with texture but I know that I am not ready for that yet. Time to remember my motto "Slow and steady wins the race." Thanks everyone, and hope ya'll have a fantastic chilly day out there. Belinda
It is a constant learning process - even those of us a year or more out are still learning - at least I know I am. And sometimes things will go down nice and easy and be fine - other times you might try the same thing and it'll get stuck or you'll feel bad - pouches are very persnickity at times and will definitely let you know when you've aggrevated it.
I ate the insides of baked potatoes for a while - I never really could get into the pureed food stage - all of that honestly gagged me.
So yeah, take your time - measure - and relax. Don't push your pouch and you can always resort to a protein shake or drink of some kind if you feel you're not getting enough in for the day,
Kathy

Not sure if you have the money or know someone who sells Pampered Chef but they have these things called Prep Bowls... what is nice about them is they have measurment marks on the sides of them... and they have a lid... so if you have to go somewhere... measure out what ya need and stick the lid on and you are good to go... they are glass... but I love them... I have 2 sets of them... best money I have ever spent... hehehe...
ive found that measuring it all really helps an the best containers i have found are the lock n lock containers that have clips on all four sides an wont open even if u throw them.. they sell on QVC they keep stuff uber fresh an have smaller size bowls like 1/2 cup 1cup an so on.. perfect for us.. i actually found a nice set of them at wal-mart recently an use them daily.. great for keeping deli meats for weeks.. without going bad too..
