I go my Approval yesturday and my surgery is April 21.  I am very nervous/scared/happy all the emotions rolled into one.  I have do a 5 day fast of 6 CIB and additional 32 oz of fluid a day.  How long are you usually in the hospital?

The length of your stay is variable, but with no cimplications 3-5 days give or take.

They have to make sure everything is hooked back up again, so they listen for gurgling, and want you to fart!

Get ready, you're in for a wild ride.

Congratulations - that's awesome and right around the corner!! All those emotions are totally normal (well, okay - not 'normal', but we all experience them! LOL!!). Enjoy the ride - woo-hoo!!

I had lap RNY on a Tuesday was home on that Thursday.  Early.

Good luck with the liquid phase pre op. It's not a fun time at all!  Post op the liquid isn't as bad as you truly truly aren't hungry.  Post op its all mental anyway (they fix your stomach, not your head  You'll hear that one again and again and it's soooo true)

Anyway - congrats - you are RIGHT around the corner surgery date wise!  Whooo hooo!!!
