Vitamins
Hi all - hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Questions on vitamins. I have been on bariatricadvantage.com and it seems like they have so much available and I'm not really sure where to start.
I'd like to start purchasing a couples months worth of vitamins in advance of my June surgery date.
Is a site like bariatric advantage the place to start or are there equivalents that I can either purchase at the pharmacy or online?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

This is what doctor Pupkova has me on. I get them all from local drug stores.
Two Centrum Vitamins a day (one am, one pm)
1000mcg sublingual (kind that melts under your tongue) b12 a day
100mg b1 a day
1000-1500mg calcium CITRATE + D per day (careful - most calcium supplements out there are calcium carbonate which we do not absorb as well)
She's never mentioned the bariatric advantage stuff and to be quite frank, I've never looked into those items. My labs have been perfect for the past 16 mos.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Pam covered the bases but I take a bit different so I thought that I would throw it out there
2500 MG B12, I have been taking 2 - I have struggled with my B12 since my surgery
1 prenatal vitamin - Walmart brand (I was taking 2 but some of my levels were too high - go figure! oh and I am trying to get pregnant - I was taking 2 flintstones or 2 centrum before hand)
1600 MG calcium with D
I get all of my vitamins at Walmart and just get the store brand, the only deficiency I have had since sugery is with my B vitamins - but it was pre-op apparently too - I needed injections the day after surgery and I don't think that I could become defiicient that quickly!
Hope this helps
