Pittsburgh Girls - Gyno Help!
Hello Pittsburgh Girls,
I need a suggestion.
I moved to the south hills about a year ago. I have been looking for new Dr's and such. I randomly picked a gyno out of a list that was on my insurance website... bad idea. She is one of those Dr's that is VERY set in her ways and talks to me like I'm an idiot and I don't know my own body or know how to do my own research. (Actually, I tend to over-research everything...) She even tried to talk me out of WLS.
Anywho, living in Pittsburgh I'm overwhelmed with Drs and I don't know who to go with... I just know I don't like where I am.
I have PCOS and am looking at getting the Paragard IUD before surgery.... Anyone have or know of a good Gyno who actually listens to their patients? Male or female... I don't care.
Thanks for your help!

I've been using dr Christina LaBella for years and love her. i've also seen one of her associates, dr Roperti and like her a lot also. THeir group used to be affiliated with Mercy Hospital but when Mercy went with UPMC, their group went with West Penn Hospital. The name of the group is Western Pennsylvania OB/GYN Associates and they have multiple locations in the area. I just love them and highly recommend them. Both LaBella and Roperti are wonderful and caring and concerned about their patients entire well being.
here is a link to their practice, i believe you can click also for office locations www.westpennobgyn.com/inthenews.html
I know that finding the right doctor, esp a gyne can be rough. I hit a couple of losers before i found this group.
GOODLUCK!! let me know if i can offer any other help or info
