Fantastic First Saturday

 As I sit here resting my new body parts I just want to thank everybody who came to Barix today for another wonderful support meeting.  I thought I would only stay for about half the time since I'm feeling pretty sore and uncomfortable, but I did not want to leave.  Everyone who is there contributes so much, whether they are quiet or outspoken.

 It was nice meeting so many new people today and I hope we keep seeing you here on the boards and at Barix.  

Thank you, leaders for your guidance.  Special thanks to Shauna who did a great job with us "oldies."

I totally agree, I definitely needed the second half of the meeting to reflect on the ways I nurture myself. Life has been difficult and I also have a hard time being strong all the time. This next two weeks is not going to be easy for me, but I know that it is the best thing for me. Thanks to everyone for their insight and concern. Have a great rest of the weekend everyone.

I'm so glad I was able to get myself there in spite of how I was feeling right up until yesterday.  It was a great support group and it is always wonderful to see new faces and "oldies" too!

Glad to be a part of something that helps me, helps others and keeps me accountable!

I am glad, but certainly not surprised, at how well the meeting went!!  So happy to hear how things are progressing.  Hopefully I'll be meeting some of the "newer" faces here online as well as at future meetings!

sure sounds like I missed a great meeting. I wanted to saty but after just ahaving surgery on Monday it would ahve been real hard for me to sit that long.
I hav sure missed out on a lot this week I have a lot of making up to do,, I better get caught up on life agian, see you all nest week @ pre-op & post-op\

It was a good Saturday and the second half was amazing...I do kow I need to speak up more for myself in teh group setting that way. (Yes I get stage fright to talk about my own issues) I was a touch mad at myself for not doing so yet there was such great things being shared in that room on Saturday.

That room felt like home that is for sure!
