So, what does the number matter

<------- claim still stands.

Now to go spend time with hubby watching some sort of cute fuzzy animal on tv (to take into Liz's consideration of what I watch before bed, LOL)

ok...the old computer is acting way to slow for me to respond to each one individually -

Norm - you're right.  Women and our numbers!  And if I had that difference in size I would totally be obsessing over it.  But you've got your head on straight and I will try to get mine there as well.
Jo - Yes, I get your drift :)  Thanks darling!  And why is every store freaking different?  Hmmm??

Thanks all.  I am gonna go wear my size 2's or my size 4's whichever I pull out of the drawer tomorrow and be damn happy I'm wearing them.  And not the 24s in the top of my closet.

Girl why do you have a size 24 pants in your closet? You should throw those pants away right now!!! Why hold onto them? I can see that one pair of pants to compare to the way you are now and then but...if it is more than that how come you still have them?

Nope - it's not more than one pair.  It's ONLY the pair I wore to Barix the day of surgery.  Every other single piece of big clothes has been thrown out, donated, given to a friend etc.

I take them out about 2-3 times a year just to "see" and keep it as a reminder.  There is a pic on my profile (I think) of me standing in one leg of them.  That pic alone made it all worth while to hold onto them!

Thanks Dee!

Because you're a woman and we obsess over stupid things that we have no control over, like the way they make and size women's clothing - I swear its a conspiracy to drive us all nuts!! I mean, come on - can't you walk into any clothing store, pick something out for hubby in his 'size' and it fits with no problem. So why can't it be the same for us?

I totally get where you're coming from even tho I'm no where near a size 2 and never will be, but I can finally wear jeans in the 'teen numbers (18) and it frustrates the heck out of me when I have a great pair that fits super and then try on another pair that won't even close!!

You're not crazy - if you are then so are the rest of us - wait, maybe it is us!! LOL!! Hang in there with it - most of us have a small range of sizes in our closets and the key to this is that you are in the SMALLEST of ranges and sizes so enjoy.

first off... let me tell you from selling clothes... ignore the sizes... there is no stardard for clothing sizes...

Even at Lane Bryant you can hold up one pair of core jeans to a pair of fashion jeans and you might have to go up a size or down a size...

I have had friends who are 115 pounds needing size 6 for certain things... and they are a 0 or a 2...

I know that black house white market is one of those stores where sizes don't make any sense... a frind in there got a size 10 shirt... but got a pair of size 4 shorts... hold them up and the waist are the same sizes... and I have heard that from others who have shopped there as well... Chico is also cut their stuff strange too...

Also in petites you some times will have to go up a size for the right fit in other areas... my MIL is a size 6 but when she buys petites she has to go up to a size 8...
