Isn't it time to be sleeping?
Hi there everyone, hoping this post finds you well and happy. I have a question. Is there a link between being not quite two weeks post op and a sudden case of insomnia? I have had bouts with insomnia lots of times and before surgery was taking Ambien every night. (I have some other unrelated medical problems that can cause quite alot of short circuits in my body workings) so anyhow the last two nights I have had a terrible time getting to sleep. I just don't feel sleepy. Since the RNY is such a huge shock to the system I thought maybe that might have something to do with it. Just wondering. I don't want to start taking the Ambien again until I see Dr. Davidson on the 8 th and make sure that it is ok from a surgery standpoint. Other than that things seem to be going fairly well. Have a wonderful day everyone. Belinda
Glad to hear that you are doing well!! I went though (and still do) bouts of insomnia - I think that we are getting used to haveing more energy! Especially early out you might still be resting/napping during the day - I know if I nap I can't sleep at night.
Insomnia stinks! Hopefully it passes soon! Oh and I have taken Ambien since surgery at a few points in time - the only thing that I noticed is that I was WIDE awake 4 hours after taking it! Not sure if that is just my body or the mal-absorbtion.
Hope you got some sleep!
