Update from Boston
Hi PA!
It's been a little while since I've been able to check in -- I've had a very hectic couple of weeks and I wanted to update you all on some good news!
After over 5 months of persevering, I finally got a job that I had interviewed for and wanted (after meeting with a recruiter from one of the career fairs I went to) I'm going to be working at an agency that works to empower individuals with developmental disabilities, etc. I'm not exactly clear on what my role will be, but I have to go through a bunch of training sessions so I imagine that I will know some more after that. I also just got word that I got accepted into a social work grad school program for the fall!! I am thrilled to be able to share this news with all of you and I think things are beginning to look up for me on the school and job fronts.
I hope you all are doing well and I'm sorry I've missed so many posts from the past couple of weeks. I hope that those who are struggling have found help and support and are working to get back on track and I hope those celebrating milestones have been able to truly enjoy their happiness :)
Miss you all and thinking of you all from Boston,
Lisa :)

Thank you so much Arlene! I could really feel your happiness for me even through the computer :) Yes, I think I am going to be a very busy girl (I start training today actually!) but I'd sure rather be busy having a job and school than busy searching for a job and school ;) Yes, I agree -- getting a job now is no easy feat, so thank you very much for being so proud of me.
Can't wait to see you either!!!
Lisa :)
