My daughter's Update

First, I just wanted to thank those that sent out well wishes and prayers to my daughter last night.  One thing I've learned these last few months is there is nothing more powerful than prayer and that God is good - Always!

Well, as things turned out my baby girl was VERY, VERY lucky last night.  Apparently, when the surgeon arrived he found her appendix very close to bursting.  I don't know much about appendicitis, but from what I gather this would not have been a good thing.  She was out of surgery in about an hour and was in good spirits last night.  If all goes well she will be released later today or tomorrow.

Once again, thank you for the prayers and well wishes, they certainly didn't fall on deaf ears.  Prayers never do.  Have a great day.

Hi Andy,
Haven't seen you on in a while. Glad your daughter is doing well. It will be a year this month that I had my appendix taken out. Boy talk about pain before ! From what I have heard/read a burst appendix is not a good thing. A brother of a friend of mine had a burst appendix and he was  very sick for a while.
Glad she is doing well.  Give her a hug for me..
Sandy

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for your well wishes.  She is a strong little girl and was a real trooper thru the whole thing.  She was scared before the surgery but full of spirit when I talked to her last night.  Like I said, I'm not an expert on the subject but I'd imagine it could've gotten pretty bad if they would've got to her any later than they did.
Thanks,
Andy

So happy to hear the good news, Andy - prayers are a wonderful thing. Now all she has to do is heal and feel better, and you can take a deep breath and relax a little.

YOU will have a great day now!

Kathy

Thanks Kathy, your kind words mean a lot.  She's on the mend already and should be herself in no time.  And you're right, I will have a great day now that I can breathe again.  Take care.

Andy, sending positive vibes to your daughter...

I bet surgery is frightening for a little girl...  heck it is frightening for us grownups too.

Take care

Hey Debi,

Thank you very much for your kind words and well wishes.  Katelyn is doing well and should be her old self in no time.  It was a little frightening for daddy, so I can't imagine what was going through her head.  BTW, you look fantastic.  I really need to get to a support group because I am struggling immensely.  I'm tinkering with the idea of heading to Barix this month.  Do you still have the one at your place?  Thanks and take care.
