You people need to stay awake

Alright so I know it's sunday and all of  you have work in the morning....but work is a steady nice pace right now where I have time in between and hopefully it will stay that way.

But I'm tired so I need something to do.

Most websites are blocked so I've got this and yahoo to basically work with.

No shopping no facebook no twitter (never been there anyway) no games no nada.

Oh, and I can't go into the chatroom feature of this website here either.

Oh and just to top it all off I'll share that I'm bloated, pissy, teary eyed, sore boobed and just PMSy all around.  Somebody warn my patients not to **** me off.  Granted I darn near through a present I was wrapping across the living room because the wrapping paper had the audacity to not fold the way I wanted to.  Obviously it's not taking much to "set me off"

My patients might need body guards.

OK, I'll stop whining

Poor girl!! Hope that the rest of the night went quickly! I perscribe a LARGE DD Iced Coconut coffee, extra coconut, milk and splenda! And a good long nap! STAT!

Oh don't get me started on the whole DD thing.

I went on my way to work last night.  I was in a little bit of a rush (You will see the irony in this in just a second) so I went through the drive through.  Ordered my iced decaf coconut coffee.  The girl who was taking the orders was one of the girls I "know"  Apparantly, though, she wasn't making them (thank goodness in one respect because I swear she crushes the beans by hand to brew the coffee it takes so long)

So I pull away and for whatever reason decided to "test" it.  Normally I don't sip on it until I'm almost at work.  Thank god I did.  The WHOLE BOTTOM was covered in grainy sugar.

So I park my car....go INTO the store....see my "regular" lady.  She appolgizes.  Would have been no big deal.  But noooooo this witch of woman (the one who made the coffee) says "what's the matter" so the lady tells her "she orders her with splenda, not sugar"  So the witch says "I made it with splenda"  So I pipe up and go "No, splenda isn't granular covering the whole bottom of the cup"  We argue about this for a minute or two while my slow poke nice lady calmly stands there, watching us (NOT making the new one I might add) So we go on about it and then the witch says "Well what's the difference it's made from sugar so it's the same thing"  Now I'm furious.

I go "Made FROM sugar NOT it IS sugar and the difference is I am a brittle diabetic (easier to explain...) and don't feel like having an episode of high blood sugar"  So she says "Well you look like you are nurse, just treat yourself.  And if you are that concerned, make it yourself at home"  Well...if I had bail $$ sitting at home, I would have been over the counter beating the crap out of her.  Keep in mind I am also PMS-ing at this point.  So I go "Make it at home?  If it means putting YOU out of a paycheck, GLADLY!"  I then look at "my" lady and go....uh - are you planning on making the cup of coffee today or should I stop back tomorrow?  And while we're at it, where's the manager?"

Supposedly there was no manager on duty.

I got my coffee for free, however.  I will NOT be returning to that one regardless.  And headquarters is getting a nice little letter from me.

I hope you got the *****s name!!! I would have jumped over the counter and strangled her! I so would have bailed you out!! Which one was it because I will NEVER give them business!!!

The one I stop at has been very unreliable - I have started ordering the splenda on the side, I don't trust anyone and today I swear they gave me the high-tes regular but it isn't upsetting my stomach so I must be pinging off something else!

I had to make a "formal" complaint to Sheetz last week. I had the manager of the particular store call me personally and I have free coffee coupons coming in the mail.

So definitely complain. It may not change her attitude, but may get you some free stuff!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

My DD did something similar to me once.  I thought the coffee tasted a little unusual, but couldn't put my finger on it.  Then, halfway thru the cup I started to feel nauseous....then exhausted.  The lady made it with sugar, when I specifically asked for Splenda.  I work the night shift, so having a bout of dumping syndrome at the start of my shift, when I desperately needed to lay down was something I definitely didn't need.

And another thing.....sometimes I don't think that my DD puts the exact amount of Splenda that I ask for in my coffee.  Ok, I'll be honest, I get a medium coffee with 4 splenda (yes, it's a lot, but i like it on the sweet side) and I swear they only put 2 in there.  What do they got this stuff on lockdown?  Are they preserving it for some reason?  Dammit!  Give us the damn SPLENDA!!

No matter which DD I go to I now do NOT get the splenda added to it.  If I go in I put in myself (they normally have it with the sugars and what not accessible to the public) and if I go through the drive through I always have some in my purse anyway (hubby calls me a splenda junky)  I like mine sweet, too.  In a medium iced cofee I get 5 splenda, in a medium HOT coffee I get four.

Despite my recent issues with the DD by my house I did end up buying a shirt at one by my parents house....it's brown with their "logo type lettering" (pink and orange) that says "Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks" cause I HATE starbucks....

I don't trust anybody making  my stuff anymore.  Never really have, but this kind of sent it home.
