gas from surgery

I've been searching everywhere because I didn't want to have to ask this question (I feel like such a dummy).  I have read numerous places about walking being important to get rid of the gas that they fill your abdomena with during RNY.  Since this gas is in the body cavity and not inside any orgrans, exactly where does it come out?  I'm sure I am missing something, but figure I'd better know before I go in for surgery!
Thanks !!!

Oh it comes out the usual ways - burps and farts..... lol Keep on walking and it will get better! You can also try a heating pad, peppermint tea, and GasX if your surgeon allows it. Truthfully though th emore you move the more quickly it will dissipate!

Hope youa re feeling better soon

I thought I was dying. I made my sister call the sugeon. I couldnt move because the pain got SO bad.

Just walk it out. And GET it out....or it'll hurt like hell
