where to donate my clothes
HI -
I am fairly new to PA and I have some clothes sizes 26/28 and some 24s that I need to get ride of so I am wondering if you know if any places in Chester or Delaware County that I can donate my clothes to???? Or if anyone is interested, I will be happy to meet you and give you my bag of goodies.
Thanks,
Iman
Iman,
Welcome to the area. I have been doing massive clean outs and have been taking bags and bags to the Goodwill. The process was easier than I would have ever thought. Once you make the first donation you just go to the computer by the door and list what you have give, i.e. clothes, household, toys, etc. The computer then prints you out a receipt which you can use on your income taxes. Also, there are several places here in the Phillie area were women who are looking for wardrobes to get back into the working world. One of them is careerwardrobe.org.
Good luck to you.

I just moved to PA too -- so I found Goodwill the easiest to use. Just last week I dropped off four bags of my old clothing. Wow, I tried on some of the clothing -- I couldn't believe I was just wearing these things in December 200! Plus, Goodwill is so good about providing you with receipts for tax purposes. Much of what I donated was in excellent shape -- I definitely wanted the receipts.
