Hey yal. I am up. 4:45. I got a few hours sleep but between the congestion and coughing I had to get up. I am mean really how is this much mucus possible? I drank some cold ease tea, and ate some oatmeal and Will try and lay back down. we will see.

Today I have my class. cannot miss it, so I think I will have them divide into groups take a topic from this chapter and teach the class today. I am not sure about work tonight. I dont want to call out because my vacation days are so precious I need them for actual vacations.

I did go to the doctor and get a zpack because this type of thing always goes to my chest and then I get bronchitis. So hopefully that will help.

I hope that you all have a great day, that work eases up, that your coffee is extra special, and that dumb people dont get in front of you on the road today.

GReat minds think alike miss Nicole!  I copied and pasted my post...cause we posted about the same time....

I actually had to stop and think about what day it was today.  Boy - how sad - and I haven't been over working lately either!

So anyway....I"m enjoying some down time at work right now.  The shift started off with a bang and continued till about 3am.  Actually when I opened the doors to the hallway that leads TO the ER on my way in last night I heard the following message "All units and transporters please bring all available stretchers, litters, and wheelchairs to the emergency department"  Hmmmm....not what you want to hear.

Anyway - I'm gonna go home and clean out my skanky arse car.  I swear I must appear homeless to people.  I need to clean it out of everything and get it looking like a human drives it.

Then it will be the mundane stuff dishes etc although hubby has been up and about a little more so I have a chance that will be done before I get home.  Here's hoping.  I need to pack my crap up for jersey as well.

Hubby and I have a "date" this morning.  We are watching Bolt.  My brother (who is 23) said it is almost as good as the Incredibles and he got it from Netflix and let us borrow it.

Then it will be off to bed wake up and head to jersey.  I'll be there at work Tuesday night at my parents house Wednesday during the day at work Wednesday night and home to pa Thursday morning.

Have a WONDERFUL DAY!!!

Pam

Good morning Pa.

Looks to be a wonderful day out today. Thank goodness. I am up and ready for work early today. I will work till 3:30 and then head right home. No doc appt tonight. And that's a first! So I will do a load of dishes, put some wash away and make dinner.

At 7 I have a meeting at the bowling alley. Yeah, I said bowling alley. LOL. A friend of the family has jut bought a local bowling alley over the winter so my sister and I decided to join a league together. We used to do it and always had so much fun. We both stink but have a great time. So we will meet up tonight to decide exactly when the league will start. Hopefully May, so Jantzen will be here. If no, someone will have to fill in for me for a week or 2.

After that, it's home to get ready for bed. And that's my exciting day. Hope everyone enjoys our nice weather before the rain hits the rest of the week.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Hi all,

Today is a volunteer dat.  Yesterday I bought a car so I can finally get around.

Finish up laundry and get some knitting help.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Musinex Nichole - that'll knock that congestion out of you in no time. Hope you feel better soon. How is your niece doing? I hope things are moving in the right direction for her.

I'm at work - busy morning at home - got stuff out to make baked chicken parm tonight, unloaded the dishwasher, fed the dog, got lunches and stuff together for me and hubby and made my sugar free vanilla iced coffee. I'm so close to Micky D's but just not quite there - but I think mine is more WLS friendly so it works for me.

Not much other than work today - dinner tonight and working out while the chicken is baking. Ooh, can my life be any more exciting?? Well, I guess I should take mundane because when it does get exciting its not usually in a good way!

Hope everyone has a great day - gonna be a pretty one out there!

Kathy

Hi everyone -
Nothing special here today - just work all day and work all night....

Nicole:  I'm with Kathy on the Mucinex - the docs I work with recommend it often.

As a side note - if anyone has HBO, check the new series "Number One Ladies Detective Agency".  The 1st episode was 2 hours, but it will be an hour series normally.  It's based on a series of books and stars Jill Scott.  The setting is Botswana in Africa.  I really enjoyed it.  It had suspense, mystery, comedy and family values all wrapped up in a neat package.

Have a great day all.

GM everyone -

I am in snowey, cold Wisconsin wishin I were home.  Today and tomorrow are my last days to have to travel out here for a long time.  Kids are really looking forward to me coming off the road (I am too).

I just got in from the gym - got in a 6 mile run and some ab work out.  My schedule is filled with endless meetings that will take me to 8pm tonight then its back to the gym for another 6 miles and abs.   I really wont miss these long days!

Nicole - my kids and I use Zycam - we swear by it..

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone,

Not a very exciting day for me today. My daughter is still home sick. She slept for 17 straight hours yesterday. She is feeling better but needs another day to relax.
I am going to catch up on laundry and try to make a nice meal for my family tonight. Since my surgery, they have been surviving on mac & cheese and chicken nuggets. I just did not feel like cooking.

I have become obsessed with the scale. I know I should not weigh everyday but I can't stop myself. Today it did not move at all and it bummed me out. Although I am only 13 days post op, I know it will happen, I know the weight will come off, I just have tobe patient. I swear since I had the surgery time is going in slow motion.....kinda like when you were a kid waiting until Christmas.....I am just trying to get through these first few weeks. I did so much research but no matter what I read or what people told me, I could never have been prepared for how mentally hard this journey has been. I reached the cranky stage this last weekend and I think my family was ready to throw me out. Did you all go through this cranky stage?

I hope everyone has a great day today and I just want to say thanks to everyone on this board. You all have great insight and encouragement to offer to all us newbies. I am so thankful to be part of this and hopefully make some great friends along the way!!
Christine
