OT: I'm back!! The 'hard' classes are DONE!!!
Hey everyone,
I finished my 2nd last term before I graduate from the Executive MBA (EMBA) at Drexel. All the 'hard' classes are now finished!!! THANK GOD!! Smoothing sailing from now till graduation on June 13th.
As well, I got a HUGE surprize a few weeks ago. This will not be a 'big deal' to most ...so please simply humor me by letting me tell you how cool this was/is. The other weekend I get a non-descriptive folder in the mail, but it had a Drexel University return address. I was intrigued so I opened it up. It was an invitation to join BETA GAMMA SIGMA!!! Being Canadian born, this whole 'society' thing is new so I didn't really understand how important it was till I spoke with the Drexel EMBA staff and Program Director. You should have seen their look when I asked them "so, is this really something to be proud of or does everyone get this mass mail?" HAHAHAHA - jaws dropped and the reply was"No, Greg, this is a big deal and worth 'writing home' about, if you know what I mean". I've come to learn that membership in Beta Gamma SIgma (BGS) is selective and only the top10% are offered the chance to apply. I had given up on any type of recognitions after I received an "A-" in the 2nd term (2 years ago). Membership in BGS is the highest honor that any business student, around the world, can receive. http://www.betagammasigma.org/aboutbgs.htm
I've not said anything to anyone in the class because, well, I don't want to brag. Since you are all like family, though, I don't mind sharing my excitment with you. :)
Thanks for listening.
Have a great weekend,

***pretends to "get" the Beta thing**
WOO HOO.............that is awesome. Way to go!
LOL, really, any recognition is wonderful. I may not know what that means but there are plenty of people who "matter" that will. So congrats. And best of luck through the bout of classes till you graduate!
