Here I sit
I am doing pretty good I guess. My belly still hurts alot more than I thought it would. I am getting better each day at drinking everything I need. Still not at goal but doing better. Drinking and protein is much easier now that I am on full liquids. My hubby tells me that at one week he thinks I am doing well, but like I said the sore, achy, belly pain is getting old. Oh and by the way, is it typical for your belly to blow up like a balloon and then to get rid of it, and then within an hour or so I am all blown up again, I feel like I am getting nowhere witht he gas. I did buy some gas-x and mint tea today to try. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Belinda
If you can get out and do a little walking that may help. Moving around as much as you feel comfortable with doing is what will break up the gas. Are you drinking milk, as it may be that you are not doing well with the milk? Some folks become lactose intolerant after surgery.
Hang in there, it will get better.

You are doing FABULOUS for a week out.
I don't know about you - but my abdominal pain got this stabbing "hot poker" feeling on the left side of my abdomen - that started to be worst about 1 1/2 weeks AFTER surgery. It got better a week or two after it started and would come and go once in awhile.
As far as the gas keep walking walking walking changing positions, etc. Sit on the bowl if you need to and keep tooting away!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)
