How long after surgery can we each fruit?
Fresh fruits and veggies can be tough for a while after surgery, but since you are on solids you could try some. Things with skin ( apples, pears, peaches etc). tend to be a little tough to digest right at the beginning so you may want to do some processed things like apple sauce or something you can peel.
Since you can't hold too much in your little pouch, you always want to start with protein and fill in with other things at the end if you have room.

In the last three weeks (or 2 months after surgery) I've started to have a few blackberries, strawberries, and bananas. Never more than a 1/3 of a cup of fruit and always after I've buffered my stomach with some protein.
Just an FYI that fruit, as I'm sure you know, has no protein and right now Protein is what you need the most for healing for the first 6 mos. It is also a carb (natural but still a carb) and will awaken your carb monster. I don't think it's fruit you are craving but "sweet" and you can get that with crystal light or SF popsicles. Don't waken that carb monster this soon out. You can go from eating 1 orange to eventually eating 2 oranges....that's a whole lotta carbs on Fitday....check it out. Minute Maid Light Tangerine Orange flavor however, not so much. Give that a try instead.

1 choice @ a time > 1 day @ a time. Slow to Succeed is still Success ;-)
I started adding fruit to my protein shakes on full liquids.
As far as regular "whole" fruit I added them in within a month or so from surgery. My surgeon actuallly told me to. I wasn't eating any and she wanted me having at least a salad a day and at least one serving of fruit a day, if not more. Protein first, though.
I can eat a lot more fruit than I can dense protein because most fruit is mostly water so if I'm eating just fruit as a snack, I do need to measure it out and stick to just that. I do try to do something like a banana or apple with PB so that I get some protein value out of it.
