Feeling pretty crappy
I dont know if its the weather or what but i feel so out of sorts. Nauseas and really just in that mood i always seem to get myself into. Yesterday i had super energy and i didnt stop all day unitl 11pm last night, and today is the total opposite, i want to curl up in my bed in my dark room and make this day go away.
I do just want to eat, even though i feel sick i just have those habbits still and prob always will. I know i cant eat regular food right not but i just feel like it, like i dotn care, i thought i was doing so good for the past couple of days, i am such a mess its crazy

WE all get there... my guess... you more then likely over did it yesterday and are paying for it now! When I get tired or stressed (over do it) my pouch is the first to pay - it gets what Pam calls "prissy pouch" syndrome and just goes on the warpath. Best thing to do on those days is to be kind to it - whatever it will tolerate - protein shakes, broth etc.
Tomorrow will be a better day!

I would have to agree with Liz about the doing too much yesterday. I get like that. I'm only a month out and there were days that I felt freakin' fantastic and did everything under the sun. Then, the next day I could not move. I knew I overdid it the day before. You need to remember (as do I) that we just had major surgery and our insides are still healing even if the outside is looking and feeling good. Take it easy and try not to stress yourself out too much. Let yourself heal.. when you feel miserable, stop and take a nap. You don't need the food to make you feel better. You need REST!!!!
You're not a mess - your body is going through a lot right now (and your thinking about food) - but your body is going thru all kinds of hormonal changes right now from the surgery and everything - can really create weird mood swings and all...and let's face it - for most of us when our moods were out of whack the first thing we did was think about food - and eat food - and feel miserable afterwards. They can call it comfort food all they want, but after stuffing your face with something high fat it was only DIScomfort we all experienced.
And even tho you feel extremely energetic at times remember to take it easy - you just had major surgery so going 100 miles an hour one day is going to knock you on your arse the next, especially since you're low on proteins and other nutrients right now.
Take it easy - take it slowly - one day at a time...

For only being a 16 day post-op, you're really testing your limits here. Honestly, and I mean this with all the best intent, but I think you should get in contact with your surgeon and let him/her know what's been going on, and get yourself some emotional therapy right away. I just don't want you to get into an "i don't care" mode for real and eat something you are not supposed to and end up hurting yourself. Your stomach is so tender right now, and your body is going through a huge adjustment. The wrong move could put you back in the hospital. I'm sorry if I sound mean. I just want you to see what a wonderful journey you have ahead of you, with a new image, and new clothes, and new self confidence. Please try to embrace it more. This is the honeymoon phase of WLS for you!
I know and i did call the surgeon and spoke with the PA and she had the nerve to tell me i could eat reg. food now, like salad and anything i wanted to try but just stay away from breads rice, and pastas. I couldnt believe she was telling me this 2 weeks out. And ffom getting so much knowlege from my friends at barix it just boggles my mind.
I really am so confused but each day is getting better i do have an appt with there therapisst mine just got fired and i havent had anyone since the surgery, so i have an appt next week. Just today has been a tough one not only with food that really wasnt it just nausea and worn down. But i had an excellent day yesterday., i think i need more protein but i couldnt even stomach the look of a protein shake today. I did put some canned fruit in the blender and had some peaches but im afraid and wont do salad or reg food im gonna stay on puree and just listen to the words of wisdom from my WLS friends that know better than my stupid ass dr.

As it has been said before the first few weeks are bad...emotionally physically everything. It is very difficult. I would get knocked out easily from to much activity early out of surgery. Listen to your body and take the breaks you need.
And every surgeon is different. Barix has one of the longest food stages I have seen from other places. One of our girls here just had surgery and was put on regular foods 10 days post op. meanwhile I had CLEAR liquids for one week, FULL liquids for TWO weeks, pureed for one week, soft foods for one week, and then solids finally 6 weeks after .
Take it one day at a time and understand it will get easier.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)
