I am my own worst enemy!

Ugh.. so mad at myself.  2 weeks ago, well... almost, I was on here so happy that I had finally broken my plateau and gotten down to 230......now...as of this morning, I am 237.6.  NOW. I know that you don't gain 7.6lbs in less than 2 weeks, it isn't physically possibly for my pouch to take in THAT many calories, which means much of it is water... but ever since I hit 230, I have eaten everything under the sun and then some!!

Why??  Darned if I know./.  So, this morning I went back to protein shakes... my plan is to have protein shakes for breakfast, lunch and snack...maybe a yogurt or two, then eat a good dinner.  My problem is that after that good dinner..I can't seem to stop myself from eating everything!

OK..  I just wanted to rant about myself,  I know what I did, if not why... and what to do about it, but man....... grrrrrr.....

We all have crazy weeks and days of eating... it is a life long project that we are working on...

Go on a nice walk and relax. Make a great dinner and make sure you are drinking plently of fluids to flush out that extra water!

I am trying to drink my water... well, propel as I HATE water, but walking is out for today... It's raining kittens and puppies here and I have my granddaughter.  I will get to Curves, though.. so that will help!  Thanks!!!

Blanche --
I really felt like I was reading MY story when I read yours ........ It's uncanny (if that's a word) ... that we are almost EXACTLY at the same point and at the same trouble spot ..... I have been here for over 1 month and no matter what I do, it doesn't move ... More walking, less walking, more water, less water ---- I even ate fried fish thinking it would trigger something to get going but ---- NOTHING .............
I guess we just have to hang in there ----
Good Luck !!!

think long and hard, did anything happen in your life the last time you were this weight?
What are you telling yourself? There is some internal dialogue going on, or some kind of trigger you may not know about. Those numbers can sometimes mean something we never imagined in our subconscious minds.

I can't get off my plateau either.  And all I want to do once I get home from work (and at work, if there's food available) is nibble, nibble, nibble.

sounds like maybe you need to de-carb in order to stop the wanting to graze after dinner.  check out the 5 day pouch test if you haven't already.  it's almost like hitting a reset button.

Just be careful with the proteins shakes for breakfast lunch dinner and snack.  Your pouch is generally used to a little more quantity then that.  And if night time grazing is generally your problem (like most of our problems) then depriving yourself of real sustance during the day may make it worse at night as far as cravings are concerned.

Just my two cents.

Pam
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Thanks to everyone for your responses!  I did do shakes yesterday, except for dinner... had a cheeseburger omlet with eggwhite.. yummy... and later had a South Beach protein bar.
This morning, the scale showed me just how much of that gain was water!!!  Nearly 6 lbs!!!!

So, today, I'm doing the same thing.. going to try it for a few days to get back on track, then slowly add more meals back in... kinda like a pouch test, but not the same foods.

I know what you are talking about I got to 220 and haven't seen that number in a while now. I started back on the shakes in the morning or scrambled egg ( when I have the baby we both have it) a salad for lunch and maybe a shake but at night is when the "munchies" start and it blows my day completely.
I just wanted to say you are not alone. Now if I can get my butt back on track I'd be happy.
