Get a full blood panel done.   Could be your B-12.   It can take 1.5 years to leach out of your system before you feel anything.   The reading should not be less than 450 or you need supplements.   A regular person will look "fine" at 450 to a PCP so make sure your WLS surgeon is the one looking at the results.   I don't have the list of tests needed but they are more than an ordinary blood count, maybe someone else can provide it....

I can suggest only what Jackie did - get your labs drawn

Besides any of the b vitamins being low it can also be your thyroid.

CBC w/ diff, CMP, b1, b12, folic acid, HDL, LDL, total Cholesterol, Calcium, Vit D, Magnesium, t3, t4, tsh should all be checked.  that's what I remember off the top of my head, but I am 99% certain there is more.

I am with the other ladies. I get EXTREMELY tired at times. It's usually my iron and B-12 that are low. I specifically see a hematologist for other issues but monitors that for me monthly. Ask your PCP to check labs for you.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

yep, could be your iron...

Hi MJ,
If you've had all the other options checked and found no problem, Google "vitamin D deficiency fatigue".  It appears there is a correlation between low vitamin D and fatigue.  Started taking D3 supplements and it has helped.  Also even if your iron or folate are on the low end of normal, that can make a major difference that iron supplements have resolved in my case.

Thank you all for your help ..... I already called the PCP and she is ordering blood work but already suggested that I might need a monthly B12 shot .....sounds good to me since I feel BEST after my visit to Dr, Courcoulas every three months after a B12 ........

you'all have been great --thanks again

Glad your doctor is doing labs and possibly starting you on a monthly shot.  Have you taken sublingual b12?  We don't absorb it properly when taken as a regular tablet, but the ones that melt under your tongue are generally well absorbed.  In the meantime, you might want to start taking some of that.  Extra won't hurt.  They sell them in 1000mcg and 5000mcg tablets.

Let us know what happens!
