I got my "High" back
Yup I finally got up the nerve to get my butt to the farm and get on Cassidy after I had the shoulder surgery and all I have to say is that I am so freaking glad I had the wls. I never would have been able to hop on the horse at my old weight after shoulder surgery. We were out for two hours and I almost cried at being able to ride today. I am going to take it easy tomorrow when I ride him. I am not one of those riders who gallop all over the place but he was one prancy horse and I had to ease him up. Yup life is good. It was like I rode him yesterday. I am glad we are so used to each other Cassidy and I. He even tolerates my singing.
That is wonderful!! I am so happy for you!! ....Oh I am so jealous too!! I have always wanted to learn to ride...but was always afraid I was too big and would hurt the horse....maybe someday if I ever find a place that teaches people how to ride!!

Congratulations!! And animals are so in tune to us - Cassidy knew you had to take it easy. I'm so glad you are comfortable and able to get back on the horse after all this time. Our family had quarter horses years ago and belonged to a trail riding club - some great memories from those days, that's for sure!!
Now I'm ready to get my butt back on a bike, not a horse - LOL!! I haven't been on a bike in ,..well, I don't even know the last time!
So glad you're back to riding again - it is a wonderful feeling, I'm sure.
