I would love to be roommates! :)  Hopefully I can get approved by then.

I think the silver lining is that you got a practice run of PATS so you know what to expect next time.  I am sure that you will just see this as a little blip in your journey once you finally get through this rough spot.

Best of luck to you and please keep in touch.

Best,
Melissa

Beth,

Take a moment and take a deep breath.  My surgery was post poned after PATs as well.  For me, it was a thyroid issue I didn't know I had.  I was soooo upset.  So upset so that I couldn't finish the question and answer period (they gave me the results in the middle of that) because I was sobbing uncontrollably.

Things work out for a reason.  Do NOT cancel it altogether.  Understand that they found something that is potentially a problem and needs to be rectified.  Think of it as an intervention to help something that, without diagnosis, may have made it very difficult for you to recover from anything - up to an including something like a cold or bronchitis.

I look forward to following more of your journey with you!

Pam

Oh Beth,
Please know that as hard as it is for us to do we must stay patient with this process. The PAT's are there for your safety. They are done to find any health-wise reason to postpone this process. As you can see you are not alone in the postponement pool. And most, if not all, went ahead with their surgeries. It just took a little more time. We know how you get the date and time in your head and you prepare for it. Unfortunately sometimes it comes and goes and now how do you deal with those building emotions? Know that it's for your own safety and for what ever reason that original time and date were not right. Your time WILL come. Please know that, believe it, and stay the course. You've got some losing to do, still.

Hello Everyone,

I have had a night to sleep on things and you are all right. This is for my safety and I am glad that the drs are taking extra precautions to make sure that I don't have any complications. It is just VERY frustrating!! I have had so many bumps. blips, whatever you want to call it over the past year. I was initially denied then after the first appeal i was approved. Other things have happened during this time. Maybe I am not supposed to have it NOW. I just want all of you to know that your support means everything to me. Thanks so much for it! I will keep u updated on how things go on Monday.
