1st Appt Yesterday Dr Bonanni

I had my 1st appt yesterday and Dr Bonanni is going to be my doc.  I am very excited about everything.  I am going to have the Lap Band done.  They gave me alot info and alot of things that I have to get done.  WOW they are really through and check everything out to make sure I am ok before hand.  ekg, blood work, sleep test,  and more test and other things I cant remember right now...lol.   My appt with doc is april 30th and then they start pre auth w/ insurance and then I get surgery date after that.  This process is kinda long.  If you had the lap band done, how long were you out of work?  They say 2 weeks,  that seems kinda long to me but I don't want to doubt the doc.

Congratulations on taking the first step. I am having RNY tomorrow, so I don't know much about the Lap Band proceedure. Sometimes things happen rather quickly by that I mean within several months. For me this process has taken about a year to get everything in order and all the requirements met. I personally am always glad when the doctors and staff are very thorough and order a bunch of tests, and I know you are too. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey. Belinda
