Hi to all
Hey Chris - welcome aboard! I was super impressed that:
1) you came out to the meeting less than 7 days after surgery (HAPPY 1 week anniversary, btw)
2) your input was 'bang on the money' (in my opinion) and I'm happy that you were moved enough to speak up in a meeting that you originally had 'opinions' on (I had 'opinions' at first also but have since become somewhat of a regular and embraced this group as pseudo-family).
It was nice to talk and congrats on the upcoming baby
!! That's just awesome. While you're losing your wife will be gaining....sensitive issue ...so be aware..however, I recall your wife is a nurse so she should understand all the medical stuff that you and she will be going through.
Hope to see more (I mean less
) of you at the meetings.

Thanks for joining us Chris and as you can see Everyone really appreciated your words and participation. Often times someone will be struck by words they hear during these gatherings and it was quite obvious that Jessica's plea and uncertainty got to you as it did for all of us. It was truly a great night and I look forward to every chance we have to share.
This works.

Thank you to all of you for the words of support. Honestly I attended that meeting assuming I was just gone through the motions and I'd get bored with it and just be done with it. I was SOOOO very wrong the feeling I had leaving that meeting was one of inspiration and encouragement so much so that when I got home all I was talking about to my wife was the wonderful people I met and listened to and the amazing stories I heard. I felt like I was suppose to be there. You all will be seeing me alot more and I hope to get to know all of you. I just may attend the comedy night but I will be stag since my wife has to work she's a nurse. I hope you lovely ladies don't mind.
Hey Chris,
Welcome to the group! I didn't get a chance to meet you in person last night but I hope to do so soon. Feel free to bring the wife along if and when she can - she can get a lot out of the group, too. My husband frequents the meetings with me.

Hi CHris and welcome aboard. I am not a Barix baby, but this group of people has made me feel SOOO welcome. I do go to Liz's cooking class and have met most of these fine folks. Please try to get out there. Even if you are still on liquids, Liz has a great tea collection-- I know I raided it last month when I was just 4 days post op!! LOL!!! I just had my RNY on Feb 23 and I know that it is because of these people that I have been so positive throughout the whole experience.
