in my BUTT.  I cant sit as long now, my arse gets sore.  What little padding i had there is gone LOL.  Of all places i DIDNT need to lose fat.....grrrrrrrr

I can also see it in my neck and face a bit.

The waist of my pants, on the other hand, feel the same if not a wee bit tighter.  I guess I am still bloated and a bit swollen.  Is this normal at 13 days post op?  I am still dealing with gass issues, although they are getting much better.  Now the constipation is rearing its ugly face.

oh what a wonderful roller coaster ride!!!

Congratulations on the success already. Why is it we always lose first where we want to keep some of it? I don't get it. Hope you continue to do well. Belinda

Congrats on the progress!   I've always been small on the bottom half and carried my weight in my face, neck, boobs, arms & belly.  Now that I'm losing the weight my already small ass has gotten smaller.  I was sitting on a wooden toliet seat at work and my boney butt kept grinding on the seat and I was like.......what the heck was that and I realised it was bones lol.  Now if I could only lose some in the boobs!

You are probably still a bit bloated.  That will eventually leave and then you'll be amazed at how fast your pants get too big on you.  I havent worn a snug pair of pants in months.  Everytime I find a tighter pair in a few weeks they are loose and hanging on me.

The "arse pain" actually came up in conversation last night at the meeting.

It does eventually get a little bit better; I just commented on that the other day to my husband.  Someone at the Barix meeting last night said that her chiropractor was able to explain this.  When we are "fluffier" we automatically shift our pelvis a certain way to help keep our balance, even when sitting.  Now that you are losing weight you are still kind of automatically shifting your pelvis, but it doesn't need to be in that position any longer.  Eventually you will learn to sit "properly" without so much arse pain - but I'm tell you - 16 mos out here and although like I said it is better, it is certainly not gone and I do bring a pad with me to certain places.

Here's to discovering bones!

Congratulations Denise!! Sounds like you're well on your way. Sadly I have so much saggy skin on my butt that I think it cushions it - LOL!! I definitely lost from the top down, tho - face was the first place I really noticed it, then the poor boobies...but I am fortunate that I have lost proportionately.

You probably are still a little swollen and bloated from the surgery and everything else - once that goes away your tummy will really start to flatten out.

My but hurt about that time too. I used my daughters swimming tube (the little round ones) to sit on or layed down at night. It helped. my pants were the same way too I am now 5 weeks out and starting to lose grom the middle. I think it was alot of swelling inside of me.

NICE - we talked about this last night at the support group meeting and FYI, Dennis called a 'shout out' to you and we all clapped for you :)

HAHAHA - not really a 'shout out'.  Dennis, our group leader, simply announced that you had your surgery on the 5th and we all clapped for you :)

WAY TO GO!!  Wish you could make it out one day!!
